BEHIND THE LENS:
Like a moth to a flame, I've always been drawn to light. How it illuminates a face, filters through the trees, or dances among the shadows, it still makes me pause. Photography is how I hold onto that magic.
My first camera was a gift when I was twelve. A little point-and-shoot that shifted my whole world. I had no idea that a little black box would become my lifetime companion. Quite honestly, I can't remember what life was like without a camera of some sort in hand.
My degree in video production provided me an exciting twenty-year career in television as a videographer, writer and editor. This was an incredible experience, but once I married and gave birth to my beautiful baby girl, I decided to return to my first love: still photography.
These days, I call the Oregon Coast home. Whether I'm photographing a person or the smallest detail in nature, I'm reminded of the power a still image holds. The ability to capture a single moment that we can look back upon forever. a tiny treasure in a single click.
